New home and look

After a number of false starts, I’ve decided to bring PhotoStory.photos into the fold if you like. No longer out there fending for itself, it now auto-forwards any visitors to this blog page. It also provides me with a reason to create a first blog post on this recently revamped website.

Why all the changes…?

PhotoStory was hosted by Squarespace with no issues. My portfolio website was originally hosted on Photoshelter, a hosting platform used by many photographers. However as an attempt to reduce web hosting costs, I cancelled this subscription and decided to opt for Adobe Portfolio which I get “free” included in my monthly subscription to Adobe for Lightroom and Photoshop. However after a few months on that platform I began to realise the limitations it was presenting me with. No means of selling anything. No blog. No ability to import a feed into the website - Instagram etc. Whilst it’s great to have the ability to have a freely hosted website, it comes with strings attached!

SO - I’ve now cancelled the PhotoStory subscription on SquareSpace and for the same price moved this portfolio website to Squarespace. The blog (still called PhotoStory) is here. And there’s a way for me to sell things….

Watch this space!
