Autumnal Path

from €125.00

I took this photo in the Autumn of 2023 in the foothills of the Italian Alps. The leaves were slowly turning colour, the sky was blue, there was no one else around. It was perfect really! Yet I didn't feel inspired to take "just another" Autumnal scene. Although I'm not "into" ICM (intentional camera movement), I did feel the permission to play. After some time, I noticed the light filtering through the trees onto the path below, illuminating the already-fallen leaves and decided to concentrate on that area but encompassing the wider scene as well. What transpired was a photo that I felt could have been painted in the era of impressionism. I came away reminding myself of the importance of play for us all.

Archival pigment print on Hahnemühle William Turner 310 gsm. It's printed, personally by myself, on this amazing paper - one of my favourites!

William Turner is a traditional mould-made watercolour paper with a coating that is ideal for FineArt applications. The white cotton paper does not contain optical brighteners and is characterised by its unique tactile feel and surface texture. The fine yet highly pronounced felt structure of the genuine mould-made paper gives photographs a striking depth and three-dimensional effect. The characteristic feel and structure guarantees extraordinary FineArt prints with artistic flair.

Each print is one of a kind and will vary slightly. Hand-signed and numbered on the back.
